Adapt’s Career Valuation Tool (CVT) supports a structured conversation about what motivates each employee and how the organisation is delivering on their needs. This is important data for the leadership team to use as inputs into their strategy and cultural initiatives.

The Career Valuation measures seven different motivations and the ideals for each can change depending on what is happening in a person's life, their age and financial security. The feature assesses ideally what they want and how well their current job delivers.

These questions supporting these categories can be amended to fit your organisation's particular environment.

  • Professional Fit - How well does the role utilise your skills and future aspirations? Is there a clear roadmap for your career that aligns with your aspirations and expectations?
  • Personal Fit - Do you have the flexibility to live an integrated life where your engagement with friends and family, community, recreation and body of work are balanced?
  • Cultural fit - Are you clear on the cultural messages from the organisation? Is it clear how you are expected to behave with well-defined values that are embedded in the organisation and do these align to your personal values?
  • Training - Are you given access to the training that you need to carry out your roles and develop new skills? Does the organisation value the importance of training and continued learning?
  • Mentorship - Are you given the support you need, not only in your role but to further your career and meet your aspirations?
  • Recognition/Feedback - Are you given the recognition you need with continued feedback, and mechanisms to feedback into the system?
  • Financial Security - Are you paid fairly for the work that you do and does this meet your needs today?
